Not a lot has been done lately, I've been busy pursuing other hobbies. But yesterday I put some wheels to this little plank.
The plank is all that remains of a failed earlier project that was demolished. It measures approximately 40 cm by 8 cm. A cm, by the way, is 50/127".
This "wagon" was then gently rolled around on the track. It is longer than any vehicle I currently have on my tramway, so I was curious whether it would clear everything, especially in curves.
As you can see here, it just cleared this overhead pole. I will probably move the pole a bit.
Then I loaded it with four bricks and shoved it around. Not sure how that was useful, but it was fun.
Each brick weighs approximately two pounds. A pound, by the way, is 16 oz.
I took the bricks off again, and gave the thing a firm push, trying to make it travel around the track as far as possible. This in both directions, and from many different starting points. This game, apart from being hilariously funny, revealed some inconsistencies in my track. Nothing serious though.
...then I became overly enthousiastic.
