Also, a bit more on the small F that has had me vexed at the painting stage for some time, decals have now been applied and today a few coats of satin varnish sprayed, I'm now feeling better about it and need to finish the glazing, fit door handles, make and attach hand rails, running boards and vacuum pipes, not much

Hi all

Nothing major from me apart from a repaint of one of my postvans in red oxide to run with my Zillertalbahn set.

More progress on the small F job, fitting out all the handrails, door handles, running boardsvac pipes and safety chains.

While I await some bits for the Piko battery conversion doing for a friend I decided to clean off my Piko loco from lettering and remains of stickers. The lettering and stripes removed with wet and dry emery, the glue from previous stickers by using lighter fuel. Quite a few applications of the fuel and clean off required as nit all comes off at once and you need to use clean clith each time as you can spread the ummygummy back on with ease. Guess how I know that?

The chassis underneath looks very much Playmobil.

Bar for my 3063 coach.

So wanting to make my ex RHB 3063 coach a bit more interesting, it already had tables fitted so thought I’d make a bar.

now instead of starting fresh I’ve made a small one out of the old toilet compartment.

sized up a hole, cut and then framed with some off cuts of 1mm MDF.

think it looks pretty good and just waiting for my two red and cream coaches to be painted and that’ll be three sets of coaches.

Oops yes Playmobil, will be getting new power units. Have Piko on my mind as it needs to be done first to the 16mm 32gauge diesel also on my bench.

In between the deluges of precipitation, and resorting to residing in the Man Cave for refuge, time to make a start on the collection of ill gotten gains from various sorties in Holland and Germany.
