Hi James,There have been some great locos posted in this thread.
I love the good old LGB 2095 and mine has done a lot of mileage in the 20 odd years that I have had it.
A Frank S type loco would be nice, a solid looking loco. Nothing fancy -Plain black will do, one day, perhaps?
I have also hankered after the LGB/Aster Garratt, as it seems many others do. Do they ever come up for sale? I think they were a very limited edition made some years ago? Although they are similar to the NG16s, I think that the model was based on a NG13? Either way if ever I won the lottery, one would be esential to keep my kit-built GRS K1 company.
I have a Bachmann Brassworks Double Fairlie which is pretty nice, but I think my favourite loco still has to be the LGB Steeple Cab. I love the quirkiness, the action of the pantograph on the wire and the sheer ruggedness of it. I have several that I run and run and run......

There was Garret on eBay this week--it seems to be gone now. As I recall, the asking was just under 4k U.S. They're really a lovely engine--though my favorite will probably always be my first LGB loco, a European MalletI have also hankered after the LGB/Aster Garratt, as it seems many others do.
