I think maybe we should just agree there are some fine locos out there and get the thread back to Duncan’s excellent railway (apologies for starting the drift).

BBQ and a few trains with the parents.

It was supposed to be a like for like replacement of some Piko points on which the blade had dropped causing loco skates to catch and derail on. Points replaced, now need new motor which has packed in.

Quick question, assuming it is a Piko point, and is motorized, have you removed the over-centre as advised in the Piko literature :)
I leave them on to stop the mechanism getting clogged up with plant debris etc

Well. It's here. It's an excellent model, but needs some track maintenance to actually run it. It's very long at 64cm, the centre overhang fouls a few track side items. Will rectify this at the weekend. IMG_20220817_182803.jpgIMG_20220817_182755.jpgIMG_20220816_195212.jpgIMG_20220816_195205.jpg

It could almost be Manx, or further off-shore, to my eye...

Who will be the first, to carve one up?

Tis a lovely thing but as mentioned by me before a strange choice having few seats. I found it lurking in the sidings at Wernigerode Westerntor on the Steam Railway trip in 2010.

Wash your mouth out haha

All routes now gauge cleared for the massive overhang on corners. Thought I'd bought a nice ornament at first when it became evident it would foul the trackside furniture.
