Does you neighbor know that the management of your railway is planning to lay track through the middle of their yard.....
I wish the neighbours liked garden railways too!

Strange as it may seem, the 2 young lads next door have never shown an interest in my line. Perhaps it's me :(
It's all smartphone and summat called TikTok these days I think. Hands on hobbies are, I fear, dieing.

Dull day but did a ride on anyway.

Reverse Loop Module arrived for the 3rd turning circle. Where better to install it, than in a fully waterproof, full size signal. Sheffield PSBs old S47 which was replaced by LED years ago. Nice bit of recycling, of an old signal head and useful for keeping those reverse modules dry.

Mine are kept in a recycled metal box, formerly for Emergency Lighting. It hides inside the Arbour for further protection from the elements….

All my others are in Tupperware boxes which are then housed in buildings. This signal was just unintentionally yet conveniently placed.

Wires disguised. Chord finally finished.

First service train around the new chord after some unexpected point maintenance. A point had gone super stiff for some reason, took motor cover off and replaced, now it's fine.PXL_20221107_142520836.MP.jpgPXL_20221107_142523830.MP.jpgPXL_20221107_142522170.MP.jpgPXL_20221107_145351355.jpgPXL_20221107_142325906.jpgPXL_20221107_142321000.jpgPXL_20221107_142315140.jpg

A reason not to lay track on a hard waterproof surface. This point motor sat on the original garden path. After 2 years service it had become inoperative due to moisture in the motor, silt and wet mud. Under the motor on the track bed was also thin wet mud. So, I've dried the motor out. Gave it a clean and lucky for me it works again. Not had any problems with any other motor on the line, all of which float in ballast. Drilled drainage holes through the old path and relaid. Unfortunately there is no other option than for the motor to be here.PXL_20221107_171925659.jpgPXL_20221108_104555393.jpgPXL_20221108_110020871.jpgPXL_20221108_110619696.jpg

Couldn't the motor have been mounted on the curved side of the point?

Less chopping up of your footpath….
