Im pleased to say, very well! Slight wheel slip from the US Loco, but it is known that it is the worst performer for grip that I have. It is only light engines that will use this line, mainly to make it easier to get out on running days. Now, I just need to think of a idea to 'disguise' the yet uncut hole in the fence to allow trains to pass through. I am still thinking how to do this though as it will need to close to stop the rabbit getting through. I was thinking two concrete tunnel mouths back to back, with a sliding in/out 'door', giving the appearance of, well, a door or gate. But concrete stuff is hard to come by these days. We shall see. I welcome any ideas though, my railway is made from ideas, usually off this forum. How did it go, with the test ?
The gradient certainly is challenging. It rises around 1ft over a 12ft run.A very neat job.
Gradient looks challenging.......
Looking great.
Model town do a solid resin tunnel mouth. Bought one for my tunnel.

Are the tunnel mouths sturdy?
Cheers for the pic, its made it definite. I am going to use two back to back, inserted into a hole in the fence. It will look better than a simple hole. Only problem will be some careful positioning as it will be on a R1 corner. (bloody hell, £12 postage!) oh well. What type of paint do you use to paint it?The tunnel mouth seems sturdy to me. No flex in it and it's around 2cm thick. Not as solid as concrete but easier to work with (for me anyway)

Cheers, it was ok till 11am then I got rained off till 2pm. Cant wait to get it painted and some rocks around it.Good fix. If you fitted them today weather must have been better than here in South Yorkshire. Bucketing down most of day. Neat layout.
Love that! I like the brick colour, and the rocks even better, looks naturalI have used Acrylic Paint on all my resin buildings, which is holding up well outside. Just bought a cheap box set from The Works
My tunnel is work in progress as well...

Thanks for that, not just for the tunnels but the website in general, there is some fantastic stuff on there. Are the tunnel mouths sturdy?
Ha, no, its the only weight I had to hand to stop the struts partingYou need a level to build this?
