The Woodlock Line

A few niggling jobs are done today. I wasn't entirely happy with the rough edge look of the astro turf I put on the fence to soften up the view. So a trip to Wickes where they now sell grey trim, which I have used to give a straight solid edge.

Next the short platform at the main station. Again, I wasn't entirely happy with the nonstandard look. So I bought some more roof felt to make the same as the other platforms. Just needs to weather a little now.

A few more niggling jobs done today. Whilst painting elsewhere with bitumen paint (horrible stuff) I gave the tunnel a new coating of black, as it'd faded considerably. I'll also be putting that bit of astro turf into trim like the rest of it.

And with the food felt, I've cut strips to fill the 4' at the stations. Ultimately it will make for easier maintaining, when the trees are trimmed. Vacuuming made easy.PXL_20250304_154243881.jpgPXL_20250304_172933499.MP.jpgPXL_20250304_172949030.MP.jpgPXL_20250304_172952210.MP.jpg

So useful but such orrible stuff, I tend to use a cheep throw away brush when using it. Plus I use disposable Vynil gloves, if you get any and on hands or clothing the only removal tool is Cellulose Thinners, not the best of things to use on your skin!

Yes but it does get them clean, almost as good as Trichloroethylene, ;)

Indeed. I ended up washing hands with Wickes finest White Spirit....
