Today At The Cfr.

Henri, the Charnwood Forest Railway (CFR) is a garden railway owned by me but located on land owned by the Great Central Railway at Rothley. The garden railway has been in existence for seventeen years and is open to the public every weekend and bank holidays. Some members of this and other forums have bought their own locomotives to run. There are no admittance charges but donations are always welcome.

Jon, one of my Harlech Castle class locomotives is named Casey Jones. The Little John class locomotive is now named Marina.
Hm after her in Last if the Summer Wine, you little smoothie you.

I was thinking of a car...
But I think it was an Avenger Tiger (limited edition) that was bright yellow!

I thought Tigers were Sunbeams. - the V8 variety.

The Tiger was a 'sporty' job with black 'go faster' stripes, there was also the yellow Avenger with a 'tasteful' black vinyl roof that was affectionately referred to as a Top Hat.

If Casey was to paint the cab roof black.......

The Sunbeam Tiger is a high-performance V8 version of the British Rootes Group's Sunbeam Alpine roadster, designed in part by American car designer and racing driver Carroll Shelby and produced from 1964 until 1967.

Named to evoke memories of the Sunbeam Tiger, the Avenger Tiger concept began as a publicity exercise. Avenger Super (four-door) cars were modified by the Chrysler Competitions Centre under Des O' Dell and the Tiger model was launched in March 1972. Modifications included the 1500 GT engine with an improved cylinder head with enlarged valves, twin Weber carburetors and a compression ratio of 9.4:1. The engine now developed 92.5 bhp (69 kW) at 6,100 rpm. The suspension was also uprated, whilst brakes, rear axle, and gearbox are directly from the GT.

A distinctive yellow colour scheme ("Sundance") with a bonnet bulge, rear spoiler and side stripes was standard, set off with "Avenger Tiger" lettering on the rear quarters.
