The EJ&KLR: Austrian narrow gauge in Cheshire

Re:The EJ&KLR project

Great pictures James ! ( & belated H.B. )

Re:The EJ&KLR project

Well not quite as sunny as Faur testing yesterday, but since I finished painting the shed, and putting up some shelves for Mum before lunch, I have found time to run another train this afternoon - and since I'd left it out from yesterday, VL10 and the 1980s rake has seen some more use...

I quite like how it looks in orange against the lush green of the trees. Before long we'll be running autumn specials... and then I hope to have the railbus finished and fitted with interior lighting for dusk running :), and next spring I'm planning on installing a 16V outdoor lighting circuit for some lamps on the station and yard.

For now enjoy a few photos of the small orange Schoema at Alisendorf, bringing images to my mind of the StLB Ratten branch in the early 1980s...

Re:The EJ&KLR project

A damp but Autumnal day yesterday and I grabbed half an hour to run trains. I cleaned the track quickly and the Liliput diesel was running nicely whilst I did a little maintenance and dreamed of the spring.

Re:The EJ&KLR project

Looks like there's a figure in the bush on that last photo, just above the out of scale leaf?

Shawn, the online copy comes with a massive back catalog back to 2006 for free, whilst you keep up your subscription. £30ish a year seems good value to me :)

Re:The EJ&KLR project

Congratulations, James, you've put a lot of yourself into this project and it's been a great delight to be able to follow it.

Thanks James. When I converted the 30 euros to US dollars its came out to $49. If I get access to starting 2006 that might be worth it. Ill have to give it a try.
