Maybe you can refer to this tower tram...
I do it again...
A nice request from the internet, moved me to build this freelance tram tower car again. It is now a little easier, because I can use the experience of the first car. However, this car is not digital, which gives me a headache because of the LED lighting.

The new attachments were finely trimmed. Then the housing will be primed and painted. All parts are not fixed with screws or glued Unfortunately, this tower car will be analogue. So I still have problems to find a place for batteries. These are for four orange flashing LEDs.

A mixed joined pack of batteries should be possible, some in the roof and some behind the central portion behind the steps. It would also be possible I reckon to do a Battery DCC fit, FOSWORKS in U.K. can supply all the bits even the split battery pack to your specification. I tape up old batteries (AAA batteries can sometimes work better in a small space) to get a feel for how things will fit, specs of the Receiver plus speaker size also on his site, use them and a DCC chip sized bits of card to see how everything can fit before making an order. 12v battery pack or about will be more than adequate.

Seats have become a favourite place for me to locate batteries, however if the batteries are only for the flashing lights would some AAA size batteries fit under the platform or in the roof clerestory?

Yes they would. Try it with some taped up.

Thanks fpr your answers. but...
... My anxiety discipline... painting with airbrush.

Inspiring, as always, Peter.

Can I ask, where you get the orange lights you have used on the four corners?

Thank you,
PhilP.

The great fear of painting, unfortunately, was not unfounded. Wrong advice in the hardware store. Thus, a wrong paint, which was very, very difficult to handle with the airbrush. The first lacquer attempt went into the pants. Paint noses everywhere. So sanding and try again, I wanted to support the drying process and used a hot air gun. The amazing result, the "color beads" disappear and create a uniform color surface, So have sprayed in sections and my friend Wilfried dried these areas. Now we hope that the result remains so,

The paint job didn't turn out that great...
Since we also want to drive through Blenker's area and cigarette smoke wafts around there, uhh wafts of fog, our tram car has fog lights that can be switched on. In addition, the driver's cabs were pimped again.
Now I have to have the lettering done and the interior will be installed. Then the windows are installed. Then the big test drive in Wehmingen (Tram museum Hannover with a big G scale layout) can come.

Vestische tram. Tw 396 is slowly getting ready. A few adjustments still have to be made. The middle section will probably have to be turned. The lettering is also still missing.
Oops, I just saw on the photos that the couplings are also missing.

I am an inclusion assistant at school.
Yesterday at a math lesson, I made the different scales visible. - 5th grade - 10 to 12 year olds.
1:22,5 - 1:87 - 1:160
I also had a Mercedes Citaro articulated bus in 1:87, in the Wuppertal version. The female maths teacher let the children calculate the original size of the bus.

That can't be right, an interesting and useful maths lesson. I didn't think such things were allowed

If a tram leaves Brandenburg gate at 8.45 with 30 passengers and travels at a steady 30kph for 8.5 km, what time will it arrive at its destination and how many passengers will complain to the driver that it did let them off at their stop ? Max

Applied maths is useful maths and therefore can be enjoyable.

(Our PM doesn't know the difference between mathematics and numeracy.)

Yes, well being an ex-Chancellor of the Exchequer, what does one an expect? They don't want any sort of experts in charge of the Ministries in our Government

Last weekend 29th - 30th April 2023 the first big test drive could be made. The test was successful. Only one nut had to be retightened, it had been forgotten. A sister vehicle accompanied him on the test drive. Both came from the same product series, only our green car was finished about 11 years later. Unfortunately, the lettering was not finished in time. It was installed on Wednesday,
Here are the pictures of the maiden voyage.
